FAQ

Questions fréquentes / Frequently Asked Questions

How does PRP work?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a medical technique that uses the patient's own blood to stimulate tissue repair and regeneration. It is primarily used in sports medicine, rheumatology, dermatology, and aesthetic medicine.

The treatment consists of 3 steps:

  1. Blood Draw — A small amount of your blood is drawn, similar to a standard lab test.
  2. Centrifugation — The blood is placed in a centrifuge to separate the different components and concentrate the platelets in the plasma.
  3. Injection — The platelet-rich plasma is reinjected into the area to be treated (joint, knee, hip, etc.).
What does PRP do in the body?

Once injected, platelets release growth factors that:

  • stimulate healing,
  • reduce inflammation,
  • promote tissue regeneration,
  • sometimes improve collagen production.
Is it effective?

Results vary depending on the problem treated, age, health condition, and injected area. Some people experience improvement after a few weeks. For osteoarthritis or hair loss, effects may require several sessions.

When is the PRP CELL-R-ONE kit used?

It is used in rheumatology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, ophthalmology, dentistry, dermatology and aesthetics. PRP is often offered for tendinitis, osteoarthritis, sports injuries, hair loss and skin rejuvenation.
